Which will make it beyond this year?

Unfortunately, I can’t see the Y2K chunky and clay rings and jewelry lasting beyond 2021 unless it’s your personal style! These pieces are very trendy and often complement the bold prints and colors we’ve been seeing in tops and bottoms. However, Martha Calvo inspired jewelry and DIY versions of these necklaces definitely have the potential to last into next year. While they may not necessarily be a timeless trend, the customizability of making your own version of the necklace adds a new element of personal style that you can incorporate into your closet.
Button Up Blouses and Shirts
Button-ups blouses and shirts are timeless. These shirts can be dressed up or down and are even appropriate for work and a chic business casual look. These button-ups can be so cute with swimwear and even a matching set, so one or two of these timeless tops is definitely worth investing in. If you do decide to purchase, I definitely recommend a neutral or a color you know you will like well into the future. I would recommend a blue or sage green color! I think we will definitely see more of these tops into the fall of 2021 and possibly into the spring of 2022. These shirts can be used across your wardrobe for every season which makes it a piece that will likely last far into the future.
Bold and Psychedelic Printed Bottoms/Tops
While I love this trend for 2021, it’s less certain whether these prints will make it into 2022. I recommend only purchasing one or two pieces you think fit the trend but also really like by itself—that way you can reuse these pieces beyond the trend. These printed pants and shirts go really well with most basics, so in that way they can be a good staple piece for your closet if you choose a print that goes well with other pieces in your wardrobe.
Matching Sets
What can I say except absolutely yes? Matching sets are definitely here to stay. They create such a put-together look without much effort on your part. You can dress them up or down with current trendy accessories such as a baseball hat or bucket hat, and jewelry and necklaces. Matching sets are the perfect effortless and chic look that offer so much versatility—whether that be travelling, running errands or going out to eat.

Tote bags are perfect for a summer beach day or fun day out with friends! The practicality of these bags provides an element of timelessness, they complement so many different summer outfits and they are often on the cheaper side of purchasing a cute bag. These totes go perfectly with linen pants or tops and the perfect accessory for a cute summer swimsuit. They’re also practical for grocery shopping, long summer car rides or running errands. You can also buy plain canvas tote bags from the craft store and paint them for your summer aesthetic.
